About
My name is Alana and I have been practicing as a mental health therapist for almost 4 years, with a background in macro social work. Recently, I took a leap of faith and decided to create a holistic wellness coaching business, so I can use my unique approach to help clients find healing.
After years of self discovery through meditation, practicing and teaching yoga, solo traveling, journaling, therapy, acupuncture, exploring spirituality and trying to heal from chronic illness through naturopathy, I have discovered that healing is not linear and requires a multifaceted and multidimensional approach.
Taking my education and experience as a therapist and blending it with all my knowledge and experience in my personal life has allowed me to come up with a unique holistic approach to wellness coaching that is tailored to every client’s own individual life and needs.
By showing up as my most authentic self as a holistic wellness coach, I invite my clients to show up as their full and authentic selves as well, so they can feel safe to fully invest their energy into the healing process.

How it works
Establishing a relationship:
The first and most important part of wellness coaching is establishing a therapeutic relationship. Through validation and active listening and reflection, I create a safe space for you and allow you to build trust with me. My hope is that after a few sessions, you will feel comfortable sharing and being vulnerable with me, so you can feel emotionally safe later on in wellness coaching when we do some deeper diving.
Assessing your current life:
I spend the entire first session asking broad questions about your routines, work, friendships and relationships so I can get to know you better. I also ask you to describe your dream life, being as delusional as possible! The first session is dedicated to assessing things as they are now, rather than pointing out problems or diagnosing “disorders”. Once we assess how things are now, we are able to see where some tweaks in your daily routine and addition of healthy habits can improve your functioning and build a strong relationship to self.
Creating grounding routines:
The benefit of routines is not just to be productive, but to create a sense of regulation in your nervous system that signals that you are “safe”. I offer a wide range of tools for you to test out, and also help you discover your own innate coping tools and strengths. Most people already know what will help them and make them feel better, but need help becoming more consistent!
Setting boundaries:
One of the most impactful parts of the work I do is teaching clients how to set boundaries: at work, in relationships and with themselves. By learning how to get uncomfortable with the initial boundary setting, you build confidence in yourself and carve out a safe space to do some deeper healing work.
Learning how to trust your intuition:
Equal in importance to boundary setting is learning how to tap into your intuition. Our internal guidance systems are innately strong and protective of us, but often we let our “ego” and anxiety speak louder than our intuition. As women, we are often taught and conditioned to actively ignore it. My job is to help you discover the whisper of your intution, which has been there all along, and build the confidence to actually follow it when it calls to you!
Deep childhood exploration and trauma healing:
Once you have developed a sense of trust with me, established solid routines to help regulate your nervous system, are beginning to set boundaries and trust your intuition, we begin the deeper healing work. The most difficult yet enlightening part of wellness coaching is exploring early childhood experiences, your early relationship to your parents and core beliefs developed in childhood. Any other trauma that has been experienced throughout your life is explored in the same way, at your own pace. Together, we safely process the emotions that come up, find radical acceptance for what has already happened, and learn to release negative attachments so you can move on and heal fully.
Empowerment and a strong relationship to self:
By the end of our time together, my goal is for you to feel empowered and whole, ready to integrate your past experiences into your current awareness, ready to face all of lifes challenges and ready to overcome any obstacles in the way of you and your dream life!
